The two U.S. Mariners who were taken captive by pirates last month were released to the FBI. An anonymous source close to KPEL News says the two men have made it home.

The two men, the captain and the chief engineer, were kidnapped after pirates attacked their commercial ship, a U.S.-flagged ship named C-Retriever, near the coast of Nigeria. The captain is from South Louisiana. The other man that was released is from Pensacola, Florida.

Our source confirms to us that the two men were treated favorably.

As soon as we are allowed to release more information, we will do so.
