Elephant Charges After Man and Child After They Enter Its Habitat [VIDEO]

Why do this?

A man took his 2-year-old daughter into an elephant's habitat while at the zoo in San Diego.

Once the massive animal realized that man had entered its enclosure, it charged after the man, who was holding onto his child.

Luckily no one seemed to be injured here, but why do this? Why would anyone put their child in such danger?

According to CBS News, the father has been arrested on suspicion of child endangerment.
