Employee Charged In Doctor’s Death

A prominent New Iberia orthodontist has been found murdered and one of his employees has been charged with his death. Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Lt. Ryan Turner says 59-year-old Robert Chastant was found Monday night near his horse stables, after he didn't show up to work earlier that day. Turner says the man who drove Dr. Chastant's car to Wal Mart, 21-year-old Ismael Viera, has been charged in the death of Dr. Chastant. He was an employee at the orthodontist's horse stables. Authorities are releasing very few details about the murder. Turner does say the two men had an argument.
