Glenn Fleming of Acadiana Gun Works joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today for another edition of 'Firearms Friday' with a focus on personal protection.

Some people have a preference for revolvers while some prefer semi-automatics and according to Fleming they both have pluses,

Revolvers weigh less and they're easier to use.  You squeeze the trigger and they go off.  However with the lack of features you have less weight and with less weight you can have more recoil.

Glenn said there is another factor when considering a revolver.

Some people have a hard time pulling the trigger on revolvers as their double action method of firing requires a trigger pull of up to twelve pounds.

Many people argue that bigger is better but Fleming says,

You should buy what you're comfortable shooting.  If you flinch every time you shoot you probably will be apprehensive to use your gun when the time comes that you need to use and you probably will miss what you're shooting at.

Fleming noted another state legislator is getting into the gun control act.  According to Fleming,

Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal says she's 'pro-gun'.  To prove it she wants to pass a law to keep guns out of the hands of minors.  Her plan?  Make parents report their gun ownership to their children's school.  Yep, she's a Democrat.

This week's 'Firearm's Friday' was pre-recorded as Glenn is in Las Vegas for the S.H.O.T. show (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Tradeshow) with over 62,000 attendees but you can listen to the entire edition of 'Firearms Friday' by clicking the link on the blue arrow below:
