Five Young Men Arrested after Armed Robbery in Breaux Bridge
A person says he was injured and robbed as he was leaving a party at a home in the 1000 block of Courville Road in Breaux Bridge on Saturday, January 2nd, and five suspects have been arrested.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Beckett Breaux, in a press release, says 20-year-old Johnathan Taylor and 19-year-old Triston Meche - both of Breaux Bridge, and 20-year-old Shamar Calais, and 20-year-old Rashaun Williams - both of Arnaudville, have each been arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14:34.1 Second Degree Battery (Felony)
- 1 count-LA R.S. 14:24/64 Principal to Armed Robbery (Felony)
22-year-old Sherman Calais of Arnaudville has been charged with the following:
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14.64 Armed Robbery (Felony)
- 1 count-LA. R.S. 14.34.1 Second Degree Battery (Felony)
The victims injuries were non-life threatening and he has been released from a local hospital.
