Former Duson Police Chief Frank Andrew Dies
52-year-old Frank Andrew, former Duson Chief of Police, passed away overnight.
Current Duson Police Chief Kip Judice says officers got the call just before 9 AM Friday. When they got to the home in the 100 block of Rena Street in Duson, Chief Judice say Andrew laid dead in his bed.
No foul play is suspected but investigators are conducting routine toxicology and other investigative tests.
Andrew served as an officer for over 10 years prior to his time as Chief, from 2009 to 2014. He is survived by a host of brothers and sisters and a 6-year-old son.
"Prayers are being offered by the Duson Police Department Chief and Staff to the family," says Chief Judice. "Frank's 15 years of service to the Duson Community are not forgotten."
