A former member of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajun football coaching staff is joining LSU.

The Tigers are former Louisiana assistant coach Jorge Munoz as an analyst.

As an analyst, Munoz cannot interact with the players, not can he coach on game day, but he can help the coaching staff throughout the week.

Munoz spent 10 seasons as an assistant with the Cajuns, serving as the team's receivers coach from 2011-15 and 2017, while also serving as the offensive coordinator in 2016 and the passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach from 2008-10.

Prior to joining UL, Munoz was the receivers coach and offensive coordinator at Eastern Illinois from 2005-07, while also spending time at Charleston Southern (2004-05), Anderson College (2001-02) Southeast Missouri (1999-00) and Bethany College (1998).

A 1998 graduate of Bethany College, Munoz was a two-time All-American quarterback, prior to playing one year in the Arena Football League with the Albany Firebirds
