Grandson To Be Questioned In Elderly Woman’s Death In Evangeline Parish

21-year-old Christopher B. Goodley of Ville Platte was taken into custody around noon Monday by La. State Police in the death of his 80-year-old grandmother Delsy Williams of Evangeline Parish. Officers had been looking for him.

According to our news partners at KATC, State Police were contacted by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Sunday night about a homicide that happened in Ville Platte. Officers say Goodley will be questioned concerning his grandmother's death.

Goodley was released from Angola in October of 2013 after pleading guilty to felony theft and simple burglary in Evangeline Parish in April 2011.
