The heat is on in Louisiana, but that hasn't stopped some from preparing their favorite gumbo.

When you think of gumbo in the Deep South you usually associate it with cooler days and nights, not during the summer.

Well, someone recently prepared a gumbo in their home and posted a photo of it while it cooked down. As you may expect, some on social media did not approve of what was in the pot and many questioned if TOMOATOES were part of the recipe.

Upon zooming in I do see a few ingredients in this gumbo that I would not add to mine, but everyone has their favorites and who am I to be critical of anyone else's recipe?

I like some of you question why anyone would prep a gumbo when the heat index is well over 100 degrees, but they may have dropped the thermostat in their home and made it feel much cooler than it is.

So, look at this gumbo below and let us know what you think. Is there anything wrong with it and if so, what is it that you do not approve of?

There seems to be a lot going on in this pot.
