
Funeral Arrangements Announced for Beloved Louisiana Radio Personality
The family of Steve Wiley has announced funeral arrangements for the beloved radio personality who died on January 29, 2025.
Steve was a fixture for many years on 99.9 KTDY and since his passing, we've received hundreds of stories from listeners admiring the man Acadiana loved.
According to the obituary shared by his family, "A Celebration of Life honoring Steven "Steve" Wiley will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the Live Oak Room at Walters Funeral Home."
For those who wish to pay their respects, visitation hours will be from 11 am - 6 pm (Feb. 5th) at Walter's Funeral Home at 2424 N. University Ave in Lafayette, Louisiana.
At the family's request, if you would like to show your support they ask that you make donations to the following non-profits in Steve Wiley's name: St Joseph’s Diner, NAMI of Acadiana, or Wild Cat Foundation.
Steve Wiley, a native of Watertown, NY, made Lafayette his home for the past 40 years, and he became a fixture in the Lafayette radio broadcasting industry. If you ever had the privilege to meet Steve, you know that his voice and smile were so genuine, and there wasn't a person who he didn't love.
Our friend and colleague passed away at his home at the age of 68 years old. We already miss him so much.
