Louisiana Governor Addresses National Anthem Controversy on Fox News

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry appeared on Fox News Wednesday afternoon, in the colors of LSU. to address collegiate athletes standing up for the National Anthem.

As you may already be aware, the LSU Women's Basketball team was not on the court earlier this week when the National Anthem was played before their game with Iowa.

Their absence caught the attention of the country after it was documented on social media, and shortly after Gov. Landry Tweeted that those college athletes who aren't present for the National Anthem before games should have their scholarships revoked.

As you may imagine Tweet had mixed reactions, so the Governor went onto national television to explain himself.

LSU was not the only team to be absent for the National Anthem during March Madness as other teams, like LSU, retreated into the locker room area before games to finalize game plans.

Still, even though other teams were not present for the National Anthem before their games this week, LSU was highlighted across the country and social media platforms.
