Unique Plane Spotted at Lafayette Regional Airport
(Lafayette, Louisiana) - You never know who or what you may see when you're at the Lafayette Regional Airport.
Have you ever sat in the airport and seen people you recognize or know, while waiting or watching planes land? It happens all the time, right?
Often, you'll see various types of planes land, some large and some small, but recently, one plane landed in Lafayette that caught the attention of those in the airport terminal.
A photo posted by the Lafayette Regional Airport shows a plane near the terminal with very distinctive markings and paint. As a matter of fact, the plane you will see below is one of only two in the country with these markings.
Celebrating America's 250TH Birthday
According to the social media post made by the airport in Lafayette:
"An Envoy Air aircraft, operating as American Eagle for American Airlines, arrived wearing the official America250 livery celebrating the United States’ 250th anniversary."
The plane's signature tail is painted in the colors of the American flag, and the number "250" is painted on the body. What's so cool about this plane is that, as I mentioned earlier, it's only one of two in their fleet with these markings, and it made a stop in Acadiana.
As we celebrate the 250 years of Independence in America, you may see more unique markings on various things throughout the year.
