Chick-fil-A Makes Massive Change to Popular Menu Item
(KMDL-FM) Fans of the popular chicken sandwich and chicken nugget restaurant Chick-fil-A are reportedly very excited about an announcement that was recently made by the popular establishment. Actually, the reason there is so much excitement is that Chick-fil-A is making a change where everything old is new again.

Sometimes, when popular restaurants with loyal customer bases make changes, it can be for the good. Then again, all you have to do to see the flip side of that equation is talk to the folks at Cracker Barrel. They weren't even contemplating making changes to their food; they just wanted to change their sign, and you're probably aware of the results of that.

Not All Chick-fil-A Menu Items Are the Same At Every Location
Which brings us back to the Chick-fil-A conundrum. First, we should let you know that not all Chick-fil-A's are the same. If you get a chicken sandwich in Lafayette, Louisiana, it will not taste exactly the same as the chicken sandwich you get in Seattle, Washington.
While both sandwiches are prepared using the exact same recipe and ingredients, the chicken is breaded in-store, and that can make a difference in the outcome of the final product. Though the difference is small, for a Chick-fil-A fan, they can taste the difference. And even someone who just gets a chicken sandwich now and then, such as myself, the difference is noticeable.
What Happened to the Waffle Fries at Chick-fil-A?
But that wasn't the product that Chick-fil-A fans had come unglued about. That product was the chain's iconic waffle fry french fries. Have you noticed that the fries at Chick-fil-A were "different"? A lot of you did, and that's when Chick-fil-A came clean and confessed they'd made a change in the recipe without telling us.

Back in 2024, the chain started adding pea starch to its fries in an effort to help keep them crispier longer. They mentioned the change in a press release, but didn't really make a big deal about the change. But fans of the brand did not like the change, and they made a big deal about it.
So, you'll be pleased to learn that all the griping you did on social media has paid off. The brand is returning to the original recipe.
The chain is hoping that customers who may have been put off by the change back in 2024 will reconsider and give the brand and the fries a second chance. I am sure it would be their pleasure if you did.
