About the Delcambre Shrimp Festival: More Than Just Music

This year's Delcambre Shrimp Festival will begin on Wednesday, August 12, and run through Sunday, August 16. In addition to live music, the festival features a Street Fair, shrimp prepared every way imaginable, Shrimp Cook-Off, Fisherman's Mass, Fire Department Water Fights, and a whole lot more.

Saturday Night Headliner: Mark Chesnutt Returns to Delcambre for a Third Time

As you can see above, Saturday night's headliner is '90s country star Mark Chesnutt. A longtime favorite in South Louisiana, the Beaumont, Texas native will be making his third all-time appearance at the Delcambre Shrimp Festival.

Now 62, Chesnutt debuted on the national scene in 1990. He's charted 20 top-ten hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, of which eight reached No. 1: "Brother Jukebox," "I'll Think of Something," "It Sure Is Monday," "Almost Goodbye," "I Just Wanted You to Know," "Gonna Get a Life," "It's a Little Too Late," and a cover of Aerosmith's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."
