Last week DNA Results from the Madison Brooks autopsy report were leaked. The lab results show that her blood alcohol level was not as high as originally stated and no DNA matching the suspects accused of raping Brooks was found inside her.

Madison was struck and killed by a car on Burbank Drive in Baton Rouge after leaving a bar in Tiger Land. Carsen Carver, Kaivon Washington, Desmond Carter, and Everett Lee were arrested and all but Lee have been formally charged with raping Brooks.

A protective order to stop evidence leaks in the Madison Brooks case has been requested by prosecutors with District Attorney Hillar Moor's office. This order was filed on Friday, July 28th, 2023.

The DA's office has officially denied all access to this documentation to prevent any more evidence from being leaked since this is an open investigation.

Following a leak of documents provided in discovery to the media, the District Attorney revoked access to the discovery provided to the defendant's attorney.

The District Attorney's office traced which lawyer accessed the information and was able to determine who leaked the evidence to the public. The documents show that the DNA testing results were not filed right away, instead, they were filed 20 days after the arrests were made.

The other detail from the leaked documentation states that Madison Brooks' family wanted a sexual assault investigation instead of a pedestrian fatality.

The specific documents known to have been "copied" and leaked at this time are the DNA test, Autopsy report, and an EBRSO police report from this case.

At this time it is believed that the documents were released in an attempt to obstruct justice according to the DA's office.

This act was one tending to obstruct or interfere with the oderly administration of justice or to impair the dignity of

the court.
