This is getting to be out of control.

A video posted on Twitter by Cassie Schirm shows a man on St. Charles St. in New Orleans approaching a group of people breaking into a vehicle.

Just as the man screams for them to stop, the thieves take off in their vehicle and nearly run the man over.

The incident was caught on security cameras at St. Charles and Canal Blvd. in the middle of the day.

You can see that people are walking by and traffic is flowing, still that did not appear to deter those who were breaking into the vehicle.

This comes after a number of vehicles were broken into Sunday as fans were in the Superdome watching the Saints play.

As we previously reported here, the NFL and the NBA have expressed their concerns about this serious issue in New Orleans, and now the city says that they are relocating resources throughout the city.

Here's the video from St. Charles and Canal as a man approached the thieves in the middle of the day.

Sadly, this isn't the first time someone confronts car thieves in New Orleans. Just a few weeks ago a man chased after a group of people attempting to steal his vehicle.

He even threw gumbo at them as he attempted to defend his property.
