Thousands of individuals who have filed taxes with returns to receive high refunds could be in very deep waters. Plenty of taxpayers claim a tax credit that they are not eligible for, which could trigger delayed refunds and extra verification. If the verification is not confirmed that can put a taxpayer in a very dangerous financial penalty, which could have an individual going to jail for at least three years. When filing taxes often individuals don’t know exactly what they’re doing especially when they try to file their taxes themselves.

IF YOU CAN'T DO THE TIME DON'T DO THE CRIME!

If you think there’s a possibility that a mistake has been made when you filed for your taxes or even if you committed a false claim you should check with a legitimate taxpayer and decide whether you need to file an amendment return to remove any ineligible claims. The IRS is buckling down on individuals, ensuring no false activities have occurred, so if you can’t do the time, do not do the crime.
