Kaplan Man accused of stabbing roommate

47-year-old Joseph A. Simon of Kaplan has been charged with one count of Attempted 2^nd Degree Murder after a Saturday morning argument with his roommate led to the victim being hospitalized and Simon getting arrested.

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says the victim was stabbed multiple times with a large knife. He survived surgery to repair the damage to his back and arm area.

The incident happened around 8:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the 2300 block of South Highway 13.
