LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL News) - Evenings will sound slightly different, but more local, on NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL starting this week.

American Ground Radio, which had been airing for one hour at 9 p.m. on weekday nights has expanded to two hours earlier in the evening. The evening drive lineup of The Josh Guillory Show and The Joe Cunningham Show will now be followed by the Shreveport-based show.

Hosted by Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr, American Ground Radio will continue to offer a fresh perspective on national news, but the new hour will also offer a look at news and politics in Louisiana.

The Mark Levin Show, which had been airing at 6 p.m. on weeknights will now air at 8 p.m., and continue offering "The Great One's" insights into national politics with his expertise in constitutional law. Author of several books and one of the most renowned talk hosts of his time, Levin is a respected conservative voice that recaps the day's news in the most powerful of words.

"This new lineup offers the same great news and talk coverage our audience expects while also adding stronger emphasis on what matters - fresh, local perspectives," said KPEL brand manager Joe Cunningham. "American Ground Radio has been a great partner on KPEL for years, and we're excited to offer more great commentary from Louis, Stephen, and the AGR crew."

You can listen to American Ground Radio weeknights from 6 to 8 p.m. and the Mark Levin Show from 8 to 11 p.m. on News Talk 96.5 KPEL via your radio or through the KPEL app.

These landmarks in and around Lafayette leave us in awe and, in some cases, make us think what their designers were thinking.
