The Life and Death of Barbara Bush will be aired Friday on NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL as part of a special edition of Acadiana's Morning News. The special, hosted by Gurnal Scott, will start at 8:00 AM.

Funeral arrangements have been announced for the former First Lady. A private family funeral is set for Saturday, April 21st at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Houston. She will be buried on the grounds of the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library on the campus of Texas A&M in College Station.

The family released an additional statement on Wednesday after the initial announcement of her death. The statement from President George H.W. Bush says to scratch the Bushes from your "worry list".

“I always knew Barbara was the most beloved woman in the world, and in fact I used to tease her that I had a complex about that fact,” Bush said in the statement. “But the truth is the outpouring of love and friendship being directed at The Enforcer is lifting us all up. We have faith she is in heaven, and we know life will go on — as she would have it. So cross the Bushes off your worry list.”
