Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center Offer Free Pet Adoptions
It is that time of the year that many start to think about adding an addition to their families... in the form of a pet.
And this year the Lafayette Animal Shelter and Care Center (LASCC) is partnering with Bissel Pet Foundation to help provide free pet adoptions.
This free adoption event is called the "Empty the Shelters- Holiday Hope" event.
This adoption event will run from Thursday, December 1 through Saturday, December 10.
The main goal of this event is to find as many homes as possible for the animals in the shelters.
LASCC Supervisor, Shelly Delahoussaye said, "It would be wonderful to empty the shelter, but finding permanent homes for as many pets as we can is our main goal."
This is the first year that LASCC is partnering with the Bissel Pet Foundation and they will reimburse the LASCC $50 for every dog that is adopted and $25 for every cat that is adopted during these 10 days.
If you are interested in helping out and adopting an animal the LASCC is open Monday- Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm and on Saturdays from noon to 2 pm.
You can visit the LASCC website to see the pets that are available for adoption right now.
