Lafayette Councilwoman Wants More Community Involvement
When you are a young person, you may think to yourself that one day you would like to serve your community.
While many of us do serve or communities in many ways by our professions, not all of us are elected to a post where we are subject to the wishes and desires of the general public.
Lizz Webb Hebert was elected to the Lafayette City-Parish Council to serve the constituents of District 8, and since that election, she has worked to help everyone in her district.
She communicates with constituents through public meetings, phone calls, social media and even a newsletter that she sends out.
Hebert spoke with Bernadette Lee about herself, what drove her to public service and why she hopes more people will become in their local government.
