Episode three started on the topic of the Unified Development Code. Josh Guillory ran on dismantling the document of codes and regulations for development in Lafayette. We took your phone calls on everything from gun control to public works and drainage.

One question we have gotten more than once is in regards to the roundabout and new bridge construction near the intersection of E Broussard Road and Kaliste Saloom. We got an update from the interim Director of Public Works Chad Nepveaux via CAO Cydra Wingerter:

The roundabout construction activities are weather sensitive. With the recent rains, I expect to see a slow down in activity. However, we did approve the contractor to work on MLK Day, at their request, due to the decent weather we had that day. Contractually, they are not allowed to  work certain holidays without prior approval.

Ask your question live every week by calling (337) 232-1542.
