LAFAYETTE, La. (KPEL) -- Louisiana State Police arrested a 29-year-old Lafayette man after he allegedly tried to solicit a underage girls online.

Trpr. Stephen Hammons said the arrest was the result of an undercover operation during which detectives posed as a girl under 15 years of age.

During their encounter with him, Hammons said John James Lee requested sexual photographs of the child and then arranged a meeting within Lafayette Parish.

When Lee arrived at the meeting location, he was taken into custody without incident, Hammons said. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on a charge of computer aided solicitation of a minor and a charge of production of child pornography.

The case remains under investigation.
