Lafayette Man Arrested On Meth Charges
63-year-old Marvin Rachal of Lafayette has been arrested after Narcotics Agents say they found methamphetamine inside of his vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 10.
Henderson Police say they pulled Rachal over for a traffic violation. Turns out Rachal had an outstanding active arrest warrant out of Iberville Parish.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Major Ginny Higgins says drug agents found about four pounds of meth with an estimated street value of about $362,800.00.
Rachal has been booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
- LA. R.S. 40:967A(1) Possession with intent to distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)
- LA. R.S. 14:26 Criminal Conspiracy
Rachal's bond has been set at $21,000.00.
