The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office has announced that they have taken the lead investigative role in the Keiosha Felix case.

The 15-year-old girl has been missing since April 30. Keiosha’s cousin Portia Felix and her aunt Patricia Andrus were arrested in July in connection with her disappearance, as well as her aunt's boyfriend, Leon Wilkerson and later his brother, Ronald.

The Sheriff's Office has been involved with the investigation for several months but decided to step up their role after consulting with other law enforcement authorities. Captain Kip Judice says "it is the goal of the Sheriff’s Office to bring Keiosha home." Keiosha is being listed as an endangered missing person based on her age and the length of time that no one has had contact with her.
