Lafayette Police Working 2 Separate Shootings

Fortunately, neither of the shootings ended with death.

Unfortunately, neither of the shootings has a named suspect at this time.

Lafayette Police are investigating 2 separate shootings which happened less than 4 miles away from each other - over a 2-day period.

The first incident happened Saturday in the 100 block of Loop Drive. 1 male was shot and has been treated for non-fatal injuries.

The second incident happened Monday night around 11 PM in the 200 block of Oaklawn Drive. 1 male subject was shot and suffered a non-life threatening injury. Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic altercation.
