LAFAYETTE, La. – A Walgreens store that has long served residents in north Lafayette and parts of Carencro has announced it will close its doors permanently on March 20, 2025. The store is located at 3747 Moss Street, on the southwest corner of Moss Street and Pont des Mouton Road.

The announcement was shared via text message with some Walgreens customers, stating:

“The Walgreens at 3747 MOSS ST, LAFAYETTE will permanently close on 03/20/2025. It will be operating as usual until then. Until its closure, the store will maintain its regular operating hours of 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., while the pharmacy will remain open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The store will continue offering curbside, drive-thru, and in-store pickup services during this period.

The Moss Street Walgreens has been a go-to pharmacy for many in Northside and Upper Lafayette, particularly those who rely on its prescription services.
