A tragic workplace accident on Monday morning (Jan. 20) claimed the life of Curtis Spencer, a 71-year-old resident of St. Martinville, LA. The incident occurred while Mr. Spencer was performing work for Possum’s Tree Service at a site in the 200 block of Rue Iberville.

The Lafayette Police Department responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. and confirmed that Mr. Spencer had sustained fatal injuries while on the job.
