There are some nice upgrades in a public park in Carencro Louisiana, but now the city is having to address what some kids are doing in the park.

The city of Carencro recently posted photos of the new surfaces on the basketball and tennis courts and they look really nice. Now, the city would like to upgrade the basketball goals in the park, but they've noticed a problem in the park.

Kids were seen climbing up on the existing goals and hanging from them, thus causing concern from those in the community.

The city posted photos of kids on the structure of the goals and reminded the public that if that type behavior continues, they will not add new goals to the courts in the park.

Anyone doing this can injure themselves, and there is a good chance that someone climbining up on the structure of the goals can break them.

These photos should be a good reminder to parents to talk to their kids about what they're doing while in parks, and remind them that they should not break or attempt to destroy what is put there for them to enjoy.

I often drive past this park in Carencro and it is always refreshing to see kids out there enjoying themselves, while not in the house on games or devices. I truly hope that the city can continue upgrading the faccitlies for these kids, but kids and parents who visit the park need to their part too.

Let's keep our parks and facilities clean and in good standard so that everyone can enjoy the outdoors in the weeks and months ahead. Beautiful days are ahead, now let's all do our part to keep the public areas of entertainment beautiful too.

Here's the social media post from the city of Carencro.
