Louisiana Marine Drowns In North Carolina

Lance Corporal Esrom Joseph, a marine from the Scott area lost his life over the weekend in North Carolina, due to drowning.

Joseph was spending time with friends at the beach and was caught in a rip tide off the Emerald Isle Coast.  His friends attempted to hold onto him, but lost their grip.

He was 19 years old and was the youngest leader of his platoon.
