Six Flags will no longer be headquartered in Arlington, Texas! They recently merged with one of their amusement park competitors, Cedar Fair in a massive $8 billion deal. The new headquarters will now be located in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a large portion of their administrative and finance operations taking place in Sandusky, Ohio. The parks, however, will continue to be called Six Flags.

Six Flags had a pretty rough time during the pandemic. They've also had several changes in ownership over the years and even filed for bankruptcy back in 2018. It looks like the changes are really going to help them out of a bad spot, and I think Six Flags fans will be pleased about the name staying the same, along with their favorite rides and attractions.

Cedar Point owns Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California as well as Schlitterbahn, and Canada's Wonderland in Ontario. They'll now be operating an additional 20 Six Flags parks in the US, one in Canada, and two in Mexico.

What's your favorite ride at Six Flags? I think Mr. Freeze and the Runaway Mine Train are probably mine! I haven't been there since they redid the Texas Giant. I'd be pretty interested in riding it again. It's been too long! Anybody want to take a road trip?
