A legend of the Louisiana Rodeo Circuit, Elmen "Jimmy" Bergeron of the Bergeron Rodeo Company has passed away at the age of 72.

Mr. Bergeron passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 according to the announcement on the Louisiana Rodeo Cowboy Association's Facebook page.

A LRCA Hall of Fame Member, Bergeron was an integral part of Louisiana's Rodeo Circuit for more than 30 years. He is credited with helping counting cowboys and cowgirls with their rodeo careers throughout the years.

The Bergeron Rodeo Company has proudly offered "exciting rodeo action with plenty of old school touch. We take great pride in producing high-quality rodeos for our contestants and our loyal rodeo fans" as described on their Facebook Page.

A Mass will be held for Mr. Bergeron Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata with the burial immediately following in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
