A man accused of sexually assaulting an Opelousas woman during the burglary of her home in October of 2009 has been found guilty by an Opelousas jury. 30-year-old Brian Malveaux had been accused of breaking into the 80-year-old woman's home while she slept, first demanding money, then sexually assaulting her. Attorney General Buddy Caldwell says it took the jury less than thirty minutes to convict Malveaux. The conviction carries with it a mandatory life sentence.
