St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says they have arrested an Eunice man for allegedly raping young girls, and the sheriff says investigators believe he gave these girls sexual transmitted diseases.

One of the man's alleged victims is under the age of 12, and the other victim is under the age of 14.

The victim, who is under the age of 12, told investigators at the end of April that 34-year-old Travis Jermaine Robiinson pulled down her pants, and had sex with her.

Later when the girl was seen by her doctor, she was diagnosed with having a sexually transmitted disease.

The second victim, who is under the age of 14, told investigators on May 15 that Robinson had touched her, and then the man had sex with her in January of this year.

This young lady was taken to the health unit for testing, and investigators report she has the same strain of the STD that Robinson has.

Robinson has been charged with three counts of second degree rape and sexual battery.

Guidroz says,

"Coming forward about a rape is a hard time to do as an adult let alone a juvenile. Parents need to have an open line of communication with their kids and always be mindful of whose with their kids and where they are. There are people out there waiting to prey on our children".

Robinson's bond has been set at $250,000.
