Man Dies In Crash

An overnight crash in St. Martin Parish leaves a New Iberia man dead. Trooper Stephen Hammons says Joseph Dressel was traveling south on LA 345 when, for unknown reasons, he ran off the left side of the road into a ditch, and struck a concrete culvert. After hitting the culvert, his Toyota overturned and Dressel, not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. The crash remains under investigation.
