Martini Battle Brewing

Drink a martini or two or three for the sake of a kid! What????? Eight local restaurants are doing their part to help a local organization dedicated to getting kids help after a parent or sibling has died.

Martini's 11 is a fundraiser were on "Tini Tuesday" a martini is featured at one of eight participating restaurants. People can print a coupon at http://www.healing-house.org that is good for one free signature ABSOLUT martini with the purchase of an entree at that Tuesday night's participating restaurant.

Healing House is an organization that aims to help children deal with the death of parent, brother or sister.

Healing House is about "Hope for Grieving Children" so that no child has to grieve alone. Acadiana children and families that have experienced the death of a parent or sibling benefit from the money raised through this program. All services provided by Healing House are completely free of charge and run by volunteers.

This year's participating restaurants are Blue Dog Cafe, Bonefish Grill, Jolie's Louisiana Bistro, Pamplona Tapas Bar, Walk-On's, Tsunami, Zea Rotisserie & Grill along with Charley G's. For one dollar you can cast a vote for your favorite martini or cast as many votes as you want.

The 'Tini Tuesday Tour will culminate at Martinis '11 on August 20. All 8 restaurants will be present for guests to sample their creations and the competition for best martini will continue throughout the evening and votes will be tallied at the end of the night. Tickets are $75.
