More Good Numbers From Lafayette Regional Airport
Lafayette Regional Aiport had their third best July on record this year.
Some 42,623 passengers used the Lafayette Regional Airport in July 2015.
Matt Cruse, Lafayette Airport Commission Chairman says,
"With the latest passenger numbers, we appear to be on track to have another strong year and may once again exceed the growth estimates projected for the Lafayette airport. We are confident that our current and future expansions of the Lafayette Regional Airport will continue to provide economic growth for the community by bringing in more passengers to the Lafayette Regional Airport."
Passengers can get flights from three air carriers out of Lafayette Regional Airport.
The number of people flying on an aiplane versus the number of seats available is called Load factor.
The numbers were high once again last month.
Delta's Atlanta connection had 87.4 percent of their seats filled followed by United with 78 percent and American Eagle to Dallas with 76 percent.
From year to year, July 2015 had 3,646 fewer passengers in July 2014 which had a total of 46,269 passengers using Lafayette Regional.
