Morgan City Expecting 10.8 Crest, National Guard On Lookout

The National Guard began 24 hour surveillance of levee systems in and around Morgan City today.  Morgan City Mayor Tim Matte tells KPEL News they're looking for hot-spots like water seepage.  Mayor Matte also tells KPEL he now expects a ten-point-eight foot river crest by Saturday instead of the eleven foot crest.  The river is currently nine and quarter foot high in Morgan City.
