Motor Officer Receives Injuries In Crash

Earlier today, at approximately 1:30 pm, a Lafayette Police Motorcycle Officer was traveling south in the 4200 block of Ambassador Caffery Parkway responding to a major crash.  A vehicle turning left from a private drive onto Ambassador Caffery to proceed north drove into the path of the motorcycle. As a result of the collision, the police officer was transported to an area hospital with moderate injuries.  The operator of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.  The crash remains under investigation.
