UPDATE: 33-year-old Jason Cole Leger of Washington has been arrested in the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office's ongoing investigation of several ATV's in the parish.

Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, in a press release, says Leger was arrested in a home on 2479 Hwy 103 with a firearm inside. Detectives say they also recovered a stolen utility trailer worth $1,500.00 and two stolen Honda 4-wheelers worth a total of $5,000.00. Louisiana State Police troopers were able to help sheriff's deputies identify the ATV's.
Leger has been charged with 3 counts of Possession of Stolen Things.

20-year-old Cameron Fontenot of Opelousas is behind bars after getting caught riding a stolen ATV on August 28th.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s deputies say Fontenot was one of three people spotted driving stolen ATV’s on Bertrand Road without their lights on. The other two drivers got away while Fontenot got his 4-wheeler stuck. After Fontenot's arrestt, the ATV - worth about $6000 - was returned to its owner.

Fontenot was transported to the St. Landry Parish Jail and booked on charges of Flight from an Officer and Possession of Stolen Things.

More arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
