Moon Griffon welcomes Public Service Commissioner Mike Francis to discuss solar panels and their future in Louisiana. All of the PSCs will be meeting in Baton Rouge in September and are expected to tackle net metering, green energy and tax incentives.

Solar energy has gotten both federal and state subsidies that Francis and other PSCs are wanting to phase out.

"It's time for solar to fly on its own," says Francis, making a comparison to a baby bird leaving the nest.
