Last night, around 10:30 pm, two 16-year-old female victims were walking near the entrance of a business, in the 4400 block of Ambassador Caffery, when they were approached by three suspects.  The suspects were able to grab I-Phones and wallets from the victims hands and fled on foot.  Immediately following the incident the suspects were seen entering a vehicle on the parking lot of a nearby fast food restaruant and the vehicle began traveling east on Kaliste Saloom Road. Responding officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspects vehicle and all three suspects were taken into custody.  Kaylyn Alfred (19) of Lafayette was arrested, charged with Purse Snatching and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.  The 2 other suspects were identified as 16-year-old males of Lafayette.  Both juveniles were booked into the Lafayette Parish Juvenile Detention Center and charged with Purse Snatching.  The victims were not injured during the incident. The case remains under investigation.
