Putin Expected To Sign Annexation Today
MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin says there's no need for Moscow to further retaliate against U.S. sanctions.
Putin spoke today after President Barack Obama yesterday ordered a second round of sanctions targeting about two dozen members of Putin's inner circle and a major bank supporting them.
Meanwhile, Putin is expected today to sign the annexation of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula.
The upper house of the Russian parliament approved the annexation earlier today.
