The latest information from Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly about a drug case reveals that a Rayne woman has been arrested in connection with a felony crime.  The police department arrested 30-year-old Jamie Pitts who lives in the 400 block of East A School Street.  She has been charged with nine counts of forgery of a controlled dangerous substance.

Chief Stelly says that Pitts was working in the medical field, and they allege that she used her access to prescription pads to commit the felony crime.  The Chief also says that their case is still under investigation.  He reports Pitts is facing more charges in other jurisdictions.

Jamie Pitts was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail, and she is awaiting bond.
