Reports of Vehicle Fire on W Congress St.

The Lafayette Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle fire on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened in the 3000 block of West Congress, near Lafayette High School. Witnesses say that the front of the car was engulfed in flames in the middle of the roadway.

Firefighters were able to distinguish the flames, but the fire seems to have caused severe damage to the front of the vehicle.
