Road/Lane Closures Happening This Week In St. Martin Parish

Beginning on Halloween night, closures pertaining to the I-10 Widening Project will be happening in St. Martin Parish.

• Tuesday: LA 328 (Rees Street) in both directions under the I-10 Overpass will be closed from 8 PM to 6 AM for barrier rail repair.

(DETOUR FOR NORTHBOUND TRAFFIC: I-10 EASTBOUND to LA 347, then I-10 WESTBOUND to LA 328 NORTH)

(DETOUR FOR SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC: I-10 WESTBOUND to LOUISIANA AVENUE, then I-10 EASTBOUND to LA 328 SOUTH)

• CANCELLED - Wednesday: Rees Street (both directions) under the I-10 Overpass will be closed from 9 PM to 6 AM for barrier rail repair, weather permitting.

(DETOUR FOR NORTHBOUND TRAFFIC: I-10 EASTBOUND to LA 347, then I-10 WESTBOUND to LA 328 NORTH)

(DETOUR FOR SOUTHBOUND TRAFFIC: I-10 WESTBOUND to LOUISIANA AVENUE, then I-10 EASTBOUND to LA 328 SOUTH)

• Thursday: I-10 EASTBOUND (outside lane and shoulder) from MM 116 (Bayou Portage Bridge) to MM 118 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge) will be closed from 8 PM to 2 AM, weather permitting. DOTD workers will be placing a 3-foot asphalt shoulder along the existing I-10 roadway.

• Thursday: I-10 EASTBOUND (Left Lane) from LA 328 off ramp to LA 328 on ramp will be closed from 8 PM to 6 AM for emergency guardrail repair, weather permitting.

Also, LA 92-1 (Smede Highway) between Clover Hill Road and LA 31 (Main Highway) will be closed to traffic on Saturday from 6 AM to 8 PM, weather permitting. DOTD crews will be constructing a temporary tie-in from Smede Highway to the new pavement on Main Highway.
