Rutgers Asks Louisiana High School to Change Logo
Rutgers University, the flagship college in New Jersey, has asked Ruston High School in northern Louisiana to change its logo because it's identical to their trademarked block "R".
Lincoln Parish Schools official Ricky Durrett says the company that manages Rutgers' brand requested that Ruston High School stop using the logo.
According to the school, they have up to 10 years to replace the logo on gear, social media platforms and on the school's website.
Durrett says Ruston Bearcats supporters often buy Rutgers Scarlet Knights gear and apparel for the logo.
