Getting through the coronavirus pandemic and the associated stay-at-home order has been tough on all of us. But we sure wouldn't want to have to get through it in any other place than Acadiana.

We've seen the generosity of our community through drive-by parades for nursing home residents to employers paying their employees even while they're business is not operating to everything in between.

The good folks in Scott and the city's Boudin Festival will be doing their part to take care of their residents with a very sweet act of giving back.

On Saturday, April 18th from 11 am to 1 pm the Boudin Festival will be donating 1000 meals (max two per vehicle). The meals will be handed out at Scott City Hall.

According to a Facebook post by mayor Jan-Scott Richard, this is "in support of our community and businesses that make this festival possible." Those businesses are Best Stop, Billy's, Don's, Menard's, Nunu's and Romero's.

Well done Scott.
