Senator Cassidy Says Gun Bills Will Be ‘D.O.A. in Senate’
Democrats on the House side have passed tougher gun restrictions, but the measures are not expected to pass in the Senate.
Senator Cassidy talks about the huge problems he has with the democrats proposals on guns. He says this measure could mean fines for people who loan hunting rifles to friends. He says that's not the way we want to go. He says the gun bills will be dead on arrival before they arrive in the Senate.
But we also talked with him about the idea of providing Medicare for all, something he says would bankrupt our country.
The Senator also talks at length about prescription drug prices and his efforts to make dramatic changes on that front.
KEEL News also asked Senator Cassidy about President Trump's recent meeting with the leader of North Korea and the efforts to denuclearize that country.
And we talked about Michael Cohen's testimony before a House Committee.
